NATURVATION ecosystem services database now available on GLOBIO website

1 June 2017

There is increasing need to quantify urban biodiversity and ecosystem services delivered by urban nature-based solutions.

The NATURVATION project aims to understand what is needed to unlock the potential of nature-based solutions for more sustainable urban development. As part of this project, the GLOBIO team will be collating and synthesizing literature reporting on ecosystem services delivered by urban nature-based solutions, with the ultimate aim of establishing quantitative relationships that can be used to map urban biodiversity and ecosystem services in cities. The database with the literature data collected will be made available online through the GLOBIO website as a growing evidence base, with a first version published May 2017 and regular updates to follow.
