NATURVATION to participate in first EU Policy Lab on cities and nature-based solutions
Katarina Hedlund (ULUND), Ton Dassen (PBL) and Harriet Bulkeley (DU) will travel to Brussels on June 23rd to participate in an event organised by the European Commission.
The aim of the event is to bring together project teams working on how to develop nature-based solutions to address urban sustainability challenges in Europe. The event, From Research & Innovation Projects to EU Policies: Sustainable cities through nature-based solutions, will focus on how to develop new tools to assess the value and benefits that nature-based solutions can bring and how to develop effective forms of communication.
The NATURVATION team will be contributing insights from the recently published database of ecological and biophysical indicators that can be used to evaluate urban nature-based solutions as well as our work on their financial and economic value.
