Paris Forum on Nature-Based Solutions
On April 4th and 5th, the European Forum on “Addressing major societal challenges: climate change adaptation-mitigation, risk management and resilience” will take place in Paris, hosted by the ThinkNature project and the Mayor of Paris.
Naturvation researcher Sandra Naumann (Ecologic Institute) will hold a presentation on the role of nature as a lever for urban climate change adaptation and mitigation. Drawing on the experiences of different cities, as outlined in Naturvation’s Urban Nature Atlas, and highlighting findings on the potential of nature-based solutions to cope with climate challenges, she will reflect on the critical factors needed to achieve wider transformation in cities and surrounding areas.
The Forum will gather diverse actors involved in planning, researching and implementing innovative nature-based solutions in urban areas, including experts, practitioners, city planners, local authorities and scientists.
