Environmentally and socially just and resilient cities – What can blue and green infrastructure offer?
This stakeholder dialogue “Environmentally and socially just and resilient cities – What can blue and green infrastructure offer?” will provide an opportunity to share experiences on embedding green and blue infrastructure in urban planning and development. The attendance for the dialogue is free of charge.
In this Stakeholder Dialogue, discussions will focus particularly on how cities can become more just from an environmental as well as societal perspective by creating and improving urban green and blue spaces. Project researchers and cities will present research findings as well as local government experiences on planning and designing urban green and blue spaces so that everyone living in the city has access to the many benefits these spaces provide. The cities of Stockholm (Sweden), Barcelona (Spain) and Łódź (Poland), who are also case study cities in the ENABLE project, have been invited to present their insights.
In the spirit of a dialogue, the event also provides the unique opportunity for other cities to – following an application and selection process by the ENABLE team - share their stories on municipal plans and activities on the topic.
The event will take place on 11 October 2018 from 9:30-13:00 CET at the Regional Office of Lodzkie, Sq. Marie-Louise 2, in Brussels, Belgium.
More information on the programme and to register for free for one of the limited seats is available on the project website. To apply for a speaking slot, follow this link, and apply by 19 September 2018.
